Growing Grounds, Inc is a not for profit, 501c3 organization that develop and empower youth to become S.T.E.A.M. leaders.
Student volunteers facilitate S.T.E.A.M. workshops for children in grades k- 8th. Through engaging hands on activities, we provide opportunities for kids to gain a knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Math.
Students are encouraged to think innovatively about real world problems. We provide students with the opportunity to learn creatively while investigating how things work. We believe in nurturing the thinker by building critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, collaboration & communication skills.

S.T.E.A.M. is incorporating the arts into science technology, engineering, & math. S.T.E.A.M. education is done through problem-based learning. It encourages students to think creatively about real world problems. Students are able to make connections between concepts and solving problems in new and exciting ways. Students demonstrate this by active engagement in S.T.E.A.M. activities.
S.T.E.A.M. education provides students with the opportunity to learn creatively, using their critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, communication & collaboration skills while understanding how things work. S.T.E.A.M. promotes technology, innovation and creativity within a world that is constantly changing. S.T.E.A.M. education encourages students to collaborate and communicate with their peers to solve real world problems.
Exposing students to S.T.E.A.M. education allows them to discover their passion and introduces them to the power of synergy - combining their knowledge with others to solve real world problems. S.T.E.A.M. education builds leadership skills, self confidence, and self worth in students. It also teaches students how to make valuable contributions to their community.
S.T.E.A.M. careers are in high demand. As educators, it's our job to better prepare our students for the workforce. Some S.T.E.A.M. careers include:
Web Designer, Orthopedic Technologist, Biomedical Engineer, Product Designer, Graphic Designer, Scientific Imaging, Video Game Designer, Animation

S.T.E.A.M. .education is about connecting the arts across science, technology, engineering, and math. In the work force, students are considered more prepared and desirable if they are creative thinkers, collaborators, and effective communicators.
